First time I heard about the program called TAWAG or Tuloy Aral Walang Sagabal, a program delivered by the Department of Social Welfare since 1999.
Unfortunately for my city this program is not being implemented. From the presentation during a meeting, the TAWAG program was hailed to be successful and was even duplicated in the Visayas and Mindanao so I was wondering why my city much more my region does not embrace this program if it was effective in the first place?
Also, is the TAWAG program disability friendly? Are the teachers familiar with disability and how to handle children with intellectual, physical and sensorial disability?
How different or similar is this with ECCD programs the moderator Ms. Cef Majuelo is being implented in Region IV-A?
There's so much to find out -- is the DSWD central office ready to embark into fact finding mission and align program to prevent duplication and better use of the resources?
Who is responsible?
